Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Maruthy Pannala, doing business as StatisticsCorner™ ("we," "us," "our," or "StatisticsCorner™"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with StatisticsCorner.com (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Scope
This Policy covers information collected through the Site, including our free resources, the contact form, course enrollment, and — once available — account registration, the Analyze subscription tool, and payment processing. It does not cover the practices of third-party retailers (such as Amazon or IngramSpark) where you purchase books referenced on the Site; those transactions are governed by that retailer's own privacy policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us directly:
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional), and the message you submit.
- Course enrollment: name, email, and payment information (payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers on our own systems).
- Account registration (once available): name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Analyze tool (once available): the data you choose to upload or enter for statistical processing. See Section 6 for how this is handled specifically.
- Newsletter signup (once available): your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
Information collected automatically:
- Standard server logs from our hosting providers (for example, IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and timestamps), used for security, debugging, and understanding aggregate site usage.
Cookies:
At this time, the Site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. It may use strictly necessary cookies required for core functionality (for example, keeping you logged in, once accounts are available). If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent first.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to messages submitted through the contact form;
- Process course enrollment, payment, and send related confirmations;
- Create and manage your account, and provide the Analyze tool and its results, once available;
- Send transactional communications (for example, receipts, course logistics, or service updates) and, only if you opt in, product news or a newsletter;
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Site;
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your information on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (for example, processing course enrollment or providing the Analyze tool), your consent (for example, newsletter signup or optional cookies), our legitimate interests (for example, securing the Site and responding to inquiries), and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
6. Data Submitted to the Analyze Tool
Once available, the Analyze tool will let you upload or enter your own data to run statistical tests. We treat this data with particular care:
- It is used solely to generate the statistical output you requested;
- We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it, under any circumstances;
- We may use it in de-identified or aggregated form (i.e., not attributable to you) to maintain and improve the Site's statistical engine;
- You will be able to request deletion of previously submitted data, subject to any copies retained temporarily in backups for a limited period;
- We ask that you not upload data you are not legally permitted to share, or data containing protected health information, government identifiers, or financial account credentials, unless strictly necessary and permitted under applicable law — see our Terms & Conditions.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy: contact form messages for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable record-keeping period afterward; course enrollment and payment records for as long as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes; account and Analyze tool data for as long as your account remains active, plus a reasonable period afterward, or until you request deletion. We may retain limited information beyond these periods where required by law or to resolve disputes.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and restricting access to information on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of marketing communications at any time (for example, via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email). California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and residents of the EEA or UK may have rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International Users
StatisticsCorner™ is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site links to third-party sites, including Amazon and IngramSpark for book purchases. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and for material changes will make reasonable efforts to provide additional notice, such as via email or a notice on the Site.
14. Contact Us
Questions about this Policy, or requests relating to your personal information, can be sent via the contact form on our About page, or to pannala.series@gmail.com.
