Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a course, subscribing to a paid tool, submitting the contact form, or otherwise using any part of the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may offer additional terms for specific products or services (for example, a course's enrollment agreement); where those conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms control for that product or service.

2. Description of Services

StatisticsCorner™ currently offers, or plans to offer:

• Free Resources — calculators, distribution references, guides, and articles, available at no cost.
• Analyze — a paid subscription tool that allows you to upload or enter your own data and run statistical tests against it. This feature may be introduced in phases; where it is not yet available, references to it in these Terms take effect once it launches.
• Courses — live, instructor-led weekend cohort courses on statistical topics, sold on a per-course, per-seat basis.
• Books — StatisticsCorner™ links to third-party retailers (such as Amazon and IngramSpark) to purchase physical or digital books authored by Maruthy Pannala. We do not process these transactions directly; see Section 7.

We may add, modify, or discontinue any part of the Site or its services at any time, with or without notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes affecting active subscriptions or enrollments.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Site or purchase any product or service. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements. The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

4. Accounts

Certain features (such as the Analyze tool or course access) may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Subscriptions & Billing (Analyze Tool)

Once available, paid access to the Analyze tool will be offered on a subscription basis (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annual, or a 3-year term, depending on the plan you select at checkout). Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase:

• Recurring subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel.
• You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods absent a legal requirement to do so.
• We may change subscription pricing prospectively, with advance notice to active subscribers before the change applies to their next renewal.
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details; see Section 15.

6. Course Enrollment, Payment & Cancellation

Course seats are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis upon full payment at checkout. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

• 7+ days before the course start date: full refund upon request.
• Less than 7 days before the course start date, or after the course has begun: no cash refund. You may instead transfer your seat to a future cohort of the same course (subject to availability) or to another individual, at no additional charge, by notifying us in advance.
• We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a cohort (for example, due to insufficient enrollment) and will offer a full refund or transfer to an alternative cohort in that event.
• Course materials are provided for the personal, non-commercial use of the enrolled participant only and may not be redistributed, resold, or shared outside the cohort; see Section 10.

7. Book Purchases

Books referenced on the Site are sold through third-party retailers, including Amazon and IngramSpark. When you click through to purchase a book, you are leaving the Site and entering into a transaction directly with that retailer, governed by its own terms of sale, pricing, shipping, return, and privacy policies. StatisticsCorner™ is not a party to that transaction and is not responsible for the retailer's fulfillment, billing, or customer service.

8. Data You Submit to Our Tools

Some features, particularly the Analyze tool, allow you to upload or enter your own data for statistical processing. By submitting data to the Site, you represent that:

• You have the legal right to submit that data and to have it processed as described in our Privacy Policy;
• Your data does not contain protected health information, government identifiers, financial account credentials, or other legally sensitive personal data of third parties unless you have an independent legal basis and all necessary authorizations to share it;
• Your data does not infringe any third party's intellectual property or other rights, and does not violate any applicable law.

You retain ownership of the data you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the requested statistical output back to you, and, in de-identified or aggregated form only, to maintain and improve the Site. We do not sell your submitted data. Full details on retention, storage, and deletion will be set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other users' accounts, or our systems and networks;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or use automated means to extract content, code, or data from the Site beyond what is provided through documented, permitted features;
• Share, resell, sublicense, or provide access to a paid subscription, account, or course materials to anyone not authorized under these Terms;
• Upload malicious code, attempt to disrupt or overload our systems, or interfere with other users' use of the Site;
• Use the Site's outputs to misrepresent StatisticsCorner™'s endorsement of any product, service, or conclusion.

We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates this section, at our discretion.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, calculators, software, course materials, videos, graphics, logos, and the compilation and arrangement thereof — is owned by or licensed to StatisticsCorner™ and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes content adapted from The Compendium of Statistical Tests by Maruthy Pannala, PhD. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site and its content for your own personal or internal business purposes. No other rights are granted. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit our content without our prior written consent.

11. No Professional Advice

The Site, including its calculators, the Analyze tool, courses, articles, and books, is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, medical, legal, actuarial, engineering, or other professional advice, and no professional relationship (including any advisor, consultant, or fiduciary relationship) is created by your use of the Site. Statistical outputs reflect the data and parameters you provide and are not a substitute for independent judgment or consultation with a qualified professional in the relevant field. You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy, completeness, and suitability of any output before relying on it for any decision, and especially before relying on it for any decision involving health, finances, legal rights, or safety.

12. No Warranty

The Site and all content, tools, and services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Site will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant that calculations or statistical outputs produced by the Site will be free of error, and you are responsible for independently verifying any result before relying on it.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StatisticsCorner™ and Maruthy Pannala will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StatisticsCorner™, Maruthy Pannala, and our respective officers, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) data you submit to the Site; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

15. Third-Party Services & Links

The Site relies on and links to third-party services, including payment processing, transactional email delivery, hosting infrastructure, and retail platforms for book sales. Your use of those services may be subject to their own separate terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services or websites linked from the Site.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or any account, at our discretion, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity, or for any other reason, with or without notice. You may stop using the Site, or cancel a subscription, at any time as described in Section 5. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 10 through 15 and 18) will survive.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and for material changes will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers or enrolled participants. Your continued use of the Site after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and without regard to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

19. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any product-specific terms presented at checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and StatisticsCorner™ regarding the Site. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
